For the first time, specialists from the St. Petersburg branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Tsok Agroindustrial Complex” examined wheat of Russian origin for shipment to Cameroon. A shipment of 47.7 thousand tons was shipped from the port of Vysotsk in the Leningrad region.
According to the test results, the wheat meets the requirements of the destination country for all necessary indicators.
“The new direction of grain shipment is a sign of growing interest in Russian wheat. Cameroon has become the 14th African state where, over the past two years, grain has been shipped under the control of our specialists from the ports of the Leningrad region,” noted Anita Milekhina, director of the St. Petersburg branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Center of Agriculture and Industrial Complex”.
In total, since the beginning of 2026, the branch’s experts have checked 199 thousand tons of export grain and products of its processing, of which 188 thousand tons are wheat. In addition to Cameroon, deliveries from the ports of the Leningrad region this year were carried out to Congo, Morocco, Angola, Nigeria and Israel.
