According to the company, competitive selections have been announced in 14 regions (Krasnodar and Stavropol territories, Voronezh, Kursk, Lipetsk, Tambov, Ryazan, Volgograd, Rostov, Orenburg, Penza, Samara, Saratov, Ulyanovsk regions).
The deadline for submitting applications for participation is October 2, 2026, the deadline for their consideration is October 12, 2026.
The volume of government grain purchases this season could range from 1 million to 3 million tons of grain. This measure is aimed at supporting grain producers in the face of decreasing export demand due to logistics problems and falling prices.
The mechanism of procurement (purchase of grain by the state) and commodity (sale of grain from the state intervention fund) interventions has been operating in Russia since 2001. It is aimed at stabilizing prices on the grain market and supporting agricultural producers. During purchasing interventions, the state removes excess grain from the market in order to stop its reduction in price. When prices rise sharply, he sells grain from the state fund and thereby stops the rise in price.
Purchasing tenders were last held in the first half of 2024, commodity tenders - from August 2024 to June 2025. Interventions take place on the National Commodity Exchange (NTB). The operator of the state grain fund is the United Grain Company. She also performs the functions of an agent during interventions.
