The Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of Uzbekistan discussed with the leadership of the Steppe agricultural holding the import of 500 thousand tons of wheat through Russian ports in the Caspian Sea, reports Prime with reference to the press service of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
According to the press service, on September 11, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Davron Vakhabov and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Steppe Agricultural Holding Ali Uzdenov discussed issues of bilateral cooperation in Moscow.
“During the meeting, the possibility of supplying 500 thousand tons of wheat to Uzbekistan through the Caspian Sea was also discussed in connection with the high grain harvest in Russia this year,” the statement said.
In particular, issues of organizing logistics routes using the ports of Astrakhan and Makhachkala were considered, the press service added.
