The Novorossiysk administration has approved a draft layout for the placement of a loading rack for grain, oilseeds and vegetable oil as part of the third phase of expansion of the Novorossiysk grain terminal, part of Demetra-Holding. The corresponding resolution was published on the city mayor’s website, Kommersant writes.
The third phase of the expansion of the Novorossiysk grain terminal includes the construction of three linear facilities, the first of which will be the initial stage of construction of an overpass for loading grains and oilseeds. According to the indicated indicators of the facility’s design capacity, the 360 m long overpass will be able to ship 4.8 million tons of grains and oilseeds and produce 0.2 million tons of sunflower oil per year.
Shipment at the facility will be carried out by four conveyor lines of grains and oilseeds with a total capacity of 3.2 thousand tons per hour (four streams of 800 tons per hour).
The second linear object is the land part of the overpass with a length of 86.7 m. The third linear object is the land part of the terminal complex for transshipment of grains and oilseeds. Operation of the complex will make it possible to ship 1.5 million tons of grains and 48 thousand tons of oilseeds annually. The shipment will be carried out by two conveyor lines with a total capacity of 1.6 thousand tons per hour.
Construction and commissioning of new facilities are scheduled for 2029.
At the end of the agricultural year, from July 2024 to June 2025, NZT shipped 5.76 million tons of grain crops for export, which is 19% less than in the previous season (7.1 million tons).
