The harvest of grains and legumes in the Novosibirsk region after processing amounted to 3 million 56 thousand tons, said Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Novosibirsk Region, Minister of Agriculture of the region Andrei Shindelov.
“Novosibirskstat published the exact gross grain harvest after revision, it amounted to 3 million 56 thousand tons,” Interfax quotes him as saying.
According to Shindelov, in the first days of 2026, 8.7 thousand tons of grain were exported outside the region, the remaining grain at elevators is 847 thousand tons.
Before modifications, the grain and leguminous harvest was about 3.25 million tons.
As previously reported, in the Novosibirsk region they expected to thresh 2.7-2.8 million tons of grains and legumes in 2025.
Spring grain and leguminous crops in the region were sown on an area of 1.21 million hectares, industrial and oilseeds - 525 thousand hectares, fodder - 242.1 thousand hectares, potatoes - 3.6 thousand hectares, vegetables - 439 hectares. Sowing spring crops this year was complicated by waterlogging of the soil in four districts of the region, in one of them - Tatar - a state of emergency was introduced.
In general, the structure of sown areas remained approximately the same as in 2024, when about 2.4 million tons of grains and legumes were harvested.
