On January 13, the first motor ship in 2026 with agricultural products from the Volgograd region was loaded and sent abroad - 2.5 thousand tons of feed barley were exported to Iran, reports the Federal State Budgetary Institution "TsK Agroindustrial Complex".
Due to warm weather, navigation along the Volga continues. As long as the river is not frozen, motor ships can freely deliver agricultural products abroad - Volgograd wheat, barley, corn, grain products, vegetable oils, and animal feed are in demand in many countries.
“The branch’s laboratory confirmed the quality and safety of 2.5 thousand tons of feed barley for export by water to Iran,” says Svetlana Kitova, head of the sample reception department of the Volgograd branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “TsK APK”.
All batches of barley met the requirements. It was loaded onto a ship in the port of Tatyanka and sent to its destination country.
