Corn harvesting has begun in the Tambov region. Agricultural enterprises of the Muchkap and Petrovsky districts were the first to start work, reports Tambov life with reference to the regional Ministry of Agriculture.
In 2026, the fields for this crop increased by 3 thousand hectares, and now work remains to be carried out on 183 thousand hectares.
The largest cultivated areas are concentrated in Inzhavinsky (over 17 thousand hectares), Morshansky and Petrovsky (about 15 thousand hectares in each), as well as in Muchkapsky and Rasskazovsky districts (approximately 13 thousand hectares each).
Let us recall that a year earlier, the gross corn harvest in Tambov fields amounted to about 1.5 million tons.
