Stabilization of domestic grain prices in Russia will occur during the 2026-2027 agricultural season, when decisions will be made to zero out export duties, the volume of subsidies for farmers and intervention purchases. Director of Prozerno Vladimir Petrichenko announced this at the Grain of Siberia forum, reports TASS.
“The market has not yet entered into a normal transparent mode - this is natural. This will settle down during the season,” Petrichenko said.
As the expert explained, the price level depends, among other things, on grain export duties, as well as on decisions on intervention purchases.
“So far we only have statements about the zeroing of duties, subsidies, and intervention purchases. But there is no document that would indicate the terms, volumes and prices, the market will look for the bottom. As soon as such decisions appear, we will be able to understand that the bottom of the market has been reached. And, depending on what is written there, we will get a rebound,” he emphasized.
