The consulting company SovEkon, against the background of problems with grain shipments from the Azov-Black Sea basin, immediately reduced by 3.2 million tons to 41.4 million tons, the forecast for wheat exports from the Russian Federation in the current agricultural season (July 2026-June 2027), reports Interfax.
According to the company, the forecast for barley exports was reduced by 0.2 million tons, to 3 million tons, corn - by 0.6 million tons, to 3 million tons. Total grain exports are now forecast at 49.4 million tons, up from 53.8 million tons a month earlier.
According to SovEcon, September wheat exports will remain at about 2 million tons. The company does not expect normalization of shipping in the Azov-Black Sea basin in the coming weeks, although some recovery “remains possible in late autumn.”
The message recalls that shipments from the ports of the Azov Sea stopped in mid-July, operations in the Black Sea ports were practically stopped from mid-August. Limited volumes continue to move through the Caspian Sea, rail routes and Baltic ports.
