Russian grain exporters, against the backdrop of logistics difficulties in the Azov-Black Sea basin, are developing alternative shipping routes, some of them aimed at Baltic ports and railways.
As reported "Interfax" General Director of the Institute for Agricultural Market Studies (IKAR) Dmitry Rylko, in September wheat exports exceeded 2.4 million tons.
“Last month, a large volume was transported by rail - over 1 million tons. The Baltic ports set a record - also over 1 million tons,” he said.
Earlier, Rylko reported that in June-September wheat exports amounted to 6.4 million tons.
He estimated September exports of grains and leguminous crops as a whole to be above 3 million tons.
“A lot of peas were exported, barley and corn were sent,” he said.
