Rice harvesting has begun in the Krasnodar Territory. In 2026, almost 100 thousand hectares will be allocated for crops, the regional administration reports.
Weather conditions in the region are assessed as favorable. Farmers expect to receive a harvest approximately at the level of last year - about 850 thousand tons of rice.
All rice plantings in the Krasnodar region this year were done with seeds of the Kuban selection. The region remains the main rice producer in Russia.
