- soft red winter wheat on the Chicago exchange (CBOT, ZW) fell to 725.25 cents/bushel (-1.19%);
- hard red winter wheat on the Kansas exchange (KCBT, KE) - decreased to 784.00 cents/bushel (-0.35%);
Contract for corn on the Chicago stock exchange (CBOT, ZC) fell to 530.25 cents/bushel (-1.21%). Price for rice in Chicago (CBOT, ZR) rose to $16.03/cwt (+0.98%).
Russian indicative prices (FOB World Cup):
- wheat - increased to $227.90/t (+0.04%);
- barley - decreased to $188.30/t (-1.47%);
- corn - dropped to $214.60/t (-3.46%);
Russian wheat index, CPT Novorossiysk, remained unchanged at RUB 11,000/t (0.00%).
Domestic Russian purchase prices for class 4 wheat, protein 12.5%, at port elevators of the Black and Azov Seas for the reporting period:

RUSSIA GRAIN MARKET NEWS
• As of September 8, 113.5 million tons of grain were harvested in the Russian Federation, which significantly exceeds last year’s figures, said Deputy Prime Minister D. Patrushev. He noted that in the current situation, overstocking in grain-producing regions should not be allowed. In this regard, a set of special instruments has been developed, including the suspension of payment of export duties on grain until the end of the year. The government has not yet approved the corresponding draft resolution.
• Export. The Russian Grain Union reports that Russia in the first ten days of September reduced grain shipments for export by almost 6 times, transshipment shifted to Baltic ports. The Rusagrotrans analytical center forecasts wheat exports from the Russian Federation in September at 1.75 million tons. The SovEkon company, against the backdrop of problems with grain shipments from the Azov-Black Sea basin, reduced its forecast for wheat exports from the Russian Federation in the current agricultural season by 3.2 million tons - to 41.4 million tons. Minister of Agriculture Oksana Lut said that Russia has no problems with exporting grain.
• NTB continues to extend the deadlines for the execution of grain transactions due to restrictions on the transportation of goods to the port of Novorossiysk. The delivery period has been extended for two more transactions concluded by Novonikolaevsky Elevator LLC (Volgograd Region), due to the impossibility of shipping wheat by rail.
• The US Department of Agriculture has lowered its forecast for wheat exports from the Russian Federation in the current agricultural year by 3 million to 43 million tons. The department also lowered the forecast for wheat harvest in Russia by 0.5 million to 88 million tons.
• The share of food wheat in the 2026 harvest in the Russian Federation is 78%, reports the Federal State Budgetary Institution "TsK Agroindustrial Complex". The first data from monitoring the quality of wheat showed that 31% belongs to the third class, 47% to the fourth class, 22% is non-food grade grain.
• A state of emergency was introduced in the Altai Territory due to unfavorable agrometeorological conditions. The work of agricultural producers was affected by the dry summer.
• The Bank of Russia kept the key rate at 14% per annum. According to the Central Bank, steady price growth has accelerated to 5–6% in annual terms, mainly due to a temporary reduction in production capacity in certain industries. Annual inflation is estimated at 6.3%.
• Customs duties from September 16, 2026 on wheat, meslin and corn will be reduced, while on barley they will remain zero.
BELARUS
• Farmers threshed more than 9.2 million tons of grain, including rapeseed.
KAZAKHSTAN
• As of September 12, 14 million tons of grain had been threshed. 10 million hectares of grain and leguminous crops were harvested, or 63.9% of the area. The pace of harvesting is ahead of last year.
UKRAINE
• As of September 8, 32.2 million tons of grain and leguminous crops were harvested with an average yield of 47 c/ha, 59% of the area was threshed.
• Since the beginning of September, 630 thousand tons of agricultural products have been exported via alternative routes, which is about 40% of the volumes that could be exported if logistics were fully operational.
