GRAIN MARKET NEWS
• As of December 18, more than 147 million tons of grain in bunker weight were collected. Field work is in its final stages. Grains and leguminous crops are threshed on 97.5% of the area. The grain quality is higher than last year - approximately 40% of the wheat volume is in grades 1-3.
• The Ministry of Agriculture raised the forecast for grain harvest this year to 137 million tons, including 90 million tons of wheat. Previously, the department estimated the gross grain harvest at 135 million tons.
• The government has set a quota for rice exports in 2026 at 200 thousand tons. Within the quota, the export duty will be zero, outside of it - 50% of the customs value of the product. Also, the Cabinet of Ministers does not see the need to extend the temporary ban on the export of raw rice from the Russian Federation, which is valid until December 31, 2025.
• The Central Bank of the Russian Federation reduced the key rate by 50 bp. – up to 16% per annum. The regulator intends to maintain tight monetary conditions as long as necessary to return inflation to the target.
• Rostov grain trader Top Grain has established a second logistics subsidiary. It became the company Topavto LLC with an authorized capital of 50 million rubles. in the city of Semikarakorsk, Rostov region.

• The food corporation has begun direct procurement of grains and oilseeds for the 2025 harvest. The list of purchased crops has been expanded. In addition to wheat and barley, sunflower, oil flax and buckwheat are accepted.
UKRAINE • As of December 21, more than 56.5 million tons of grain and leguminous crops had been harvested. 93.5% of the area has been threshed. The average yield is 51.9 c/ha. In particular, 22.9 million tons of wheat, 5.4 million tons of barley and 26.4 million tons of corn were harvested.
