The priority of the Russian authorities is to provide fuel to agricultural producers, said Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak.
“Of course, first of all, the priorities that the government pays (attention) today are the provision of diesel fuel to agricultural producers. Here today we have fully confirmed all volumes, deliveries are being made,” Interfax quotes him as saying.
Novak stressed that the federal headquarters is strictly monitoring this issue.
“If failures occur somewhere, then we also ensure that fuel is sent to those regions where interruptions suddenly arise. And, of course, an important task is to ensure northern delivery,” Novak added.
The Deputy Prime Minister also stated that it is still premature to talk about complete stabilization of the fuel market in the Russian Federation.
“Although, of course, it cannot yet be said that the market has fully stabilized. In some regions, especially the Siberian regions, a rather difficult situation still remains, let’s put it this way... I am sure that the situation is temporary, it will be leveled out, and everything is being done for this,” he said.
Novak emphasized that the government, in manual mode with oil companies, with the regions and with federal executive authorities, ensures that “the volume of vertically integrated companies is matched with supplies to these regions.”
