The Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan has approved a list of enterprises and farms that are allowed to import wheat by rail from third countries and EAEU states, reports PRIME with reference to the press service of the department.
The list includes grain processing enterprises, poultry farms, licensed grain elevators and JSC National Company Food Contract Corporation.
Poultry farming and grain processing enterprises will not be able to sell imported wheat on the domestic or foreign market.
Since July 27, 2026, Kazakhstan has had a six-month ban on wheat imports by road, water and rail from both third countries and EAEU states, including Russia.
The restriction does not apply to the rail transit of wheat through the territory of Kazakhstan, as well as to its movement between the EAEU states through the republic.
