Specialists from the Omsk branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “TsK Agroindustrial Complex” completed the assessment of durum and soft wheat as part of state grain monitoring.
In the period from July 27 to December 10, 2025, more than 1.7 million tons of wheat were analyzed, which is 62.8% of the total gross grain harvest in the region. In total, over 3.4 thousand samples were taken from batches of grain grown by Omsk farmers and more than 66.2 thousand studies were carried out.
According to the results of the tests, the share of soft wheat of class 3 was 42%, class 4 - 51.5%, class 5 was 6.5%. Studies of durum wheat show a predominance of class 4 - 88%, the share of class 3 was 8.1%, class 5 - 3.9%.
“Despite the difficult weather conditions in the region, Omsk wheat demonstrates high quality. The share of food wheat was more than 93%,” said Alexander Kochubey, director of the Omsk branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “TsK APK”.
