“Until now, technologies for artificial stimulation of precipitation have not been used in the region to improve the quality of winter crops. However, the possibility of using this technique before the end of this year is still being considered,” the department clarified.
In October, Deputy Director of the Novorossiysk branch of the Federal Center for Assessing the Quality of Agro-Industrial Products (TSA AIC) Valery Nemchenko reported that the regional authorities plan to use the technology in November, primarily in the northern regions of the region affected by drought.
In the neighboring Rostov region, which suffered more from drought than Kuban, the technology began to be used in the fall. According to documents from the regional government, about 40.4 million rubles were allocated for these purposes. budget allocations.
In the Krasnodar Territory, 11.3 million tons of grain were harvested in 2025, including 7.8 million tons of wheat, a decrease compared to last year’s level of about 20%.
