In 51 regions, a plan has already been drawn up to increase the cultivated area by 5 million hectares by 2030, said Minister of Agriculture Oksana Lut at a meeting with heads of authorities management of agro-industrial complex regions on the issues of bringing unused agricultural land into circulation.
The largest volume of land is planned to be involved in the Tver, Chelyabinsk and Saratov regions, the Perm Territory and the Udmurt Republic.
Municipal land control remains one of the main tools for working with private agricultural land. In the first half of the year, the regions surveyed twice as much land as in the same period last year. Such work is already producing results: previously unused areas are recognized as suitable for agricultural production, are included in road maps, and are returned to circulation after the necessary measures have been taken.
The largest volumes of surveys were carried out by the Moscow, Kaluga and Novosibirsk regions - 110 thousand, 62 thousand and 50 thousand hectares, respectively. Among the leaders in the implementation of road maps are also Primorsky Krai, Udmurtia, Kaliningrad and Kaluga regions.
For state and municipally owned lands, the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, together with Rosreestr, has created the “Land for Farmer” service on the portal of the National Spatial Data System. It allows agricultural producers to find free land for farming. Currently, the service contains information about 1.2 million hectares. During the current year, about 83 thousand people used it.
Another important area is the registration of unregistered lands with the state cadastral register. As part of the “Land” state program, this work has already been carried out on 2.5 million hectares, 67% of which have been leased. This year it is planned to register another 650 thousand hectares.
As Oksana Lut noted, all work on inventory and land involvement this year is being carried out in the Unified Federal State Information System of Agricultural Lands. Thanks to digitalization, the processing time for information was reduced from three to one month.
