According to updated data from Rosstat, the gross harvest of grains and legumes in Russia in 2025 reached 138.76 million tons, of which wheat - 90.9 million tons. A year earlier, similar figures were 125.9 million tons and 82.6 million tons, respectively, which means an increase in total grain production by 12.9 million tons (+10.2%), and wheat - by 8.3 million tons (+10%).
Barley harvested 19.61 million tons versus 16.67 million tons in 2024; corn - 12.66 million tons versus 13.96 million tons; millet - 351.9 thousand tons versus 323.8 thousand tons; triticale - 284.5 thousand tons versus 246.6 thousand tons.
The rye harvest decreased to 998.8 thousand tons (1.17 million tons a year earlier), rice - to 1.19 million tons (1.26 million tons in 2024), buckwheat - to 923.4 thousand tons (1.21 million tons last year).
Production of grain legumes increased to 7.96 million tons compared to 5.37 million tons a year earlier.
