Harvesting of winter crops and grain legumes has begun in the Novosibirsk region, said the Minister of Agriculture - Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Novosibirsk Region Andrei Mikhailov.
"Agricultural enterprises in the region have begun harvesting winter and leguminous crops. The active phase of feed procurement continues. 103 thousand tons of hay have been harvested - this is 60% of plans, 432 thousand tons of haylage have been harvested - this is 61% of plans. The situation with the supply of fuel and lubricants for agricultural producers is gradually, step by step stabilizing," Mikhailov said at the operational meeting, Interfax reports.
The necessary limits of fuels and lubricants have been brought to Gazprom - Regional Sales, and supplies of the required volume of fuel for seasonal field work are expected this week, he specified.
The region's governor, Andrei Travnikov, said that additional volumes of fuel arrived over the weekend.
A high-alert regime was introduced in the Novosibirsk region against the backdrop of a difficult situation with fuel; a limit was set for one filling at a gas station to 30 liters of gasoline or 60 liters of diesel. The region has a priority refueling regime for emergency services, utilities, and public transport.
The total sown area this year was 2.16 million hectares, which is 20 thousand hectares more than last year. The area under grain and leguminous crops increased by 55 thousand hectares compared to last year - to 1.25 million hectares.
